The contract for PT-FI’s new greenfield Manyar smelter on the Java Integrated Industrial Estate (JIIPE) in Gresik, Indonesia, with a capacity to process approximately 1.7 Mt of concentrate per year and an estimated cost of US$ 2.8 bn, was awarded on 21 July 2021 to Japan’s Chiyoda Corporation.
